Membership

Membership in the DCA provides several key benefits, including information sharing and education, advocacy and relationship building, and increased lines of communication which are vital to the successful operation of a concession at DIA. The DCA seeks to provide its members with an informational edge as they navigate the complex bureaucracy inherent in managing concession enterprises at international airports. Examples of issues that the DCA has worked on include: RFP award process, DIA master plan update, contract length and extentions, ACDBE program, DIA managment changes, and devel.

The DCA has also taken an advocacy role, when warranted, to promote policy decisions favorable to DCA positions.  Additionally, the DCA has engaged the services of a local government relations firm, David J. Cole and Associates, Inc., to advocate on behalf of the association and leverage key relationships with the DIA Management Team, the Mayor’s Office, the Denver City Council, and other local and regional officials. All of these benefits directly enhance a businessperson’s ability to operate a successful concession at DIA.
